How I like Japan
I like automotive. Especially cars, since I was a kid, in fact the first
word that comes out of my mouth when I was like 2 years old is “tires”, not
mommy not daddy but tires. And when I was in senior high school, my love of
cars grew even more (bare with me, I’ll get back to the main topic) I started
reading about cars on the internet and discovered that Japanese car culture is
probably the most bonkers out there. So that’s the story of how I ended up
liking Japan in general. I started to read about their cultures and tourist
destinations. I really like Japan. It’s one of those countries that is just
different from the others, I’m sure that most foreign countries have their own
way of doing things, but for me Japan is up there. Obviously being there is one
of my dreams, it’s on the bucket list for sure!
When we talk about Japan we mustn’t forget it’s capital city, Tokyo. In
Tokyo alone there are roughly 60 tourist attractions, so can you imagine how
many tourist attraction in Japan altogether! But I’m not going to explain all 60
of them here, I’m going to pick 3 of my personal “worth-visiting” places in
Tokyo.
First up is Shibuya. The area is one of Tokyo's
shopping Meccas. The popular shopping and restaurant district centers around
the Shibuya train station but extends to include sites like Yoyogi Park,
Takashita-Dori, Meiji Jingu, Harajuku, Sendagaya and Omotesando. The Shibuya
pedestrian crossing and traffic intersection is one of the most photographed
spots in modern Tokyo and one of the busiest crossings in the world.
Next up is Tokyo Tower, you won’t miss this one for sure, because it’s 333 meters high and located almost in the center of Tokyo. It’s the 2nd tallest structure in Japan and it is painted in white and orange in compliance with air safety regulations for tall buildings.

And last but not least is Akihabara. This is an area in Tokyo best known for its high-tech shops, entertainment venues and dining opportunities. Akihabara is nicknamed "Electric Town" as the stores here are predominantly electronic and gadget stores. Akihabara is located in the Chiyoda ward, it is also the home of AKB48 idol group, an idol group I use to adore back in my high school years.
Okay I’m going to
cheat and add another one. It’s a place that I won’t miss when I got there one
day. As I said earlier in the text that I’m a massive car enthusiast, so for
this final part of the text I’m going to talk about Daikoku PA. PA stand for
“Parking Area” The internet said that this place is the most popular parking
lot in Japan. It is located in Yokohama which is a few hundred miles away from
Tokyo. What makes this place so special to me is that almost every-day, day and
night, it is always fill with amazing cars from different types, makes and
models.
So this is my idea of
a dream destination, I really hope I can go to Japan one day and experience all
the excitement.
